Made in the Sherry triangle of Spain, made up of the three cities of Jerez de la Frontera, Sanlucar de Barrameda and El Puerto de Santa Maria. Brandy de Jerez is also known as Sherry Brandy; it is produced from distilled wine in much the same way as Cognac or Armagnac is. Sherry brandy is a by product of Sherry production, however, it is not just distilled Sherry.
Produced from a white wine base, the Sherry is distilled once – traditionally it was distilled twice – to create a Brandy similar to Armagnac.

The Brandy is then matured in wooden casks to create the typical brandy-esque character and flavour, different casks are often used to create complex flavour profiles.
