Martin Miller's Gin

Martin Miller’s Gin was the dream of Martin Miller and his quest for the perfect Gin & Tonic. Back in the mid 1990’s Gin was unfashionable to say the least, Martin and his two friends were fed up with being served lame Gin & Tonic and thought they could do so much better, and with that, the idea behind Martin Miller’s was born. The three friends idea was to create a tasteful but clean and pure white spirit but no one would ever have guessed the lengths that idea would take them to.

Martin Miller’s Gin is a London Dry Gin produced at the famous Langley Distillery in Birmingham using a century old copper still, traditional distillation along with a rather standard range and blend of botanicals. The Gin that is produced is at Langley is called Gin Essence, kind of like a super concentrated cordial above 90% abv, this is then cut with water to the required ABV strength. The bottling and quest for purity is where Martin Miller’s completely differs to any other Gins. Typically distilleries take mains water and run it through an industrial water decontamination process to remove any form of minerals that can cloud the liquid or add taste to the final product. The three friends wanted to use natural mineral water that would add character in taste and mouth feel so set about finding the world’s purest water source, this quest would take them to using water from Iceland. So, once the Gin is produced it’s shipped on a 3,000 mile round journey where it’s cut with the required Icelandic water, bottled and sent straight back to the UK. In terms of creating a cost effective and efficient production, this is quite possibly the worst example you will see, but, this blend of spirit and the purest water created the perfect gin that the founders had set out to create.

Martin Miller’s was launched in 1999 to much acclaim from bartenders, it’s main market is Spain but is sold across Europe, Australia and North America. In the years following a premium export product, Martin Millers Westbourne Strength was created, then an experimental Martin Miller’s 9 Moons followed by a couple of flavoured gins in Martin Millers Winterful Gin and Martin Miller’s Summerful Gin.

We treat all personalised bottles individually, taking our time and experience to set out your message to create the most impactful bottle decoration possible. This may include increase the size of some fonts within the message to pay particular focus on key lines or phrases, spacing message over extra lines and removing unnecessary punctuation.

Yes, all the lines of messages will be centred.

If you can type it, we can engrave it! When using alternative languages it may be neccessary for us to alter the font to ensure all characters are supported, in these cases we use the closest style font to your original selection.

Unfortunatley we are unable to engrave emoji's or picture characters. Where these are added the character will be removed from your message.

We specially select the fonts we use. Once a bottle has been engraved the cut glass is then infilled with a special decorative silver paste. These fonts ensure we provide the optimum width and depth during the engraving process to creat maximum visibility once infilled.

The fonts we currently use are: Lucida Calligraphy, Lucida Handwriting, Verdana and Segoe Print.
